Thanks to Wendy and Hugh for allowing us to change our booking and ultimately for giving us a refund when we were unable to travel due to Covid restrictions. Being so easy to deal with really helped us through a difficult time. We have now finally stayed at the cottage and wow, what a gem in a quiet corner of Grasmere. We will certainly be returning….

‘What a week! Brilliant weather and an excellent cottage. Second time here and it didn’t disappoint. Many thanks to Wendy and Hugh for letting us stay. We walked and wild swam our way every day and came home with big smiles on our faces. Feeling very relaxed and chilled and looking forward to a return visit soon – hopefully!’
This is a lovely cottage in a quiet location but with all the amenities of Grasmere a 10 minute walk away and not far from the main Windermere to Keswick road. The cottage is warm and comfortable and very well -equipped. There is also plenty of local information and maps, walks etc. Grasmere has many places to eat out and a Co-op that is open long hours. There are walks from the cottage and a very good bus service, so you can get by without a car.
